Welcome to Warriappendi School.
We’re ‘seeking’ successful opportunities for Aboriginal students. Warriappendi means to ‘seek’ or to ‘find’.
Our school connects Aboriginal culture, learning and wellbeing through personalised teaching for all Year 7-12 students. We value the history of our founders represented by the platypus ‘resilience’, peace sign ‘responsibility’, rising sun ‘each morning brings new hope’ and the Aboriginal and non Aboriginal handshake ‘respect’. These are our school values. Our new school values ‘connection’, ‘respect’ and ‘growth’ have been developed with the relocation to a new site in mind and refresh our founder’s sentiment.
As a teacher and leader for 30 years, I understand there are few decisions in life as important as the choice of school for your child. At Warriappendi School, we will embrace your student’s curiosity, passions and teach Aboriginal culture across the curriculum to embrace a belonging and connection providing students independence and opportunities.
We welcome all students, families and community to site.
